If breastfeeding, send in expressed breast milk in bottles – we can store this at nursery and give to your child as required. (Nursery provides formula milk which is included in your fees) Children under 12 months will be offered foods at their stage of weaning which is always discussed with parents first.

At mealtimes children sit together to encourage them to develop social skills and table manners.  The children are encouraged and supported to feed themselves and to pour their own drinks, to develop self help skills.

Snacks

At all snack times children are offered a choice of milk and water; water is available to every child throughout the day.

Snack is offered during the morning and afternoon sessions where children are offered a choice of three snacks which they are able to self select. Snacks are varied and options include rice cakes, crackers, seasonal fruit, vegetables.

The provider ensures that children receive a varied diet of nutritional meals and snacks. Mealtimes are relaxed and sociable occasions and children learn good hygiene routines.
