Welcome to The Wooden Horse Nursery – a family-owned and managed, purpose-built nursery offering both private and funded places for children from birth to 5 years old.

Our carefully planned curriculum offers the perfect balance between child-led exploration and adult-guided activities, allowing every child to grow at their own pace and develop a lifelong love of learning.

Choosing the right childcare setting is an important decision. We warmly invite prospective parents to visit us, meet our friendly team, see our daily routines in action, and ask any questions.
The provider ensures that the high-quality education the setting provides gives all children, including those with SEND, the life skills that they need to succeed. Staff work very well in partnership with parents. They receive comprehensive information from parents, which forms the basis of each child’s specific care and learning. Staff also keep parents well informed about their child’s development and progress on a regular basis.
The children within our nursery enjoy a wide range of activities both indoor and out, planned by the qualified and experienced staff but lead by the children’s own interests. Our aim is that every individual child thrives and flourishes into their own unique selves.
Staff are positive role models and have high expectations for children’s learning and behaviour. As a result, children’s behaviour is exceptional. This supports a good learning atmosphere for all children.

Children are settled, happy and safe at the setting. All staff ensure that children’s individual needs are well met, including those children with special educational needs and / or diabilities (SEND)
Choosing a childcare setting for your child is a difficult decision, something that we at The Wooden Horse Nursery fully understand. We encourage prospective parents to come and view the nursery, during which time you will be shown around the building, explained how our daily routines are carried out, meet the staff that will be caring for your child and talk through any questions you may have
